Commissions
Natalia paints commissioned watercolors: a single large painting, or a group of works planned together for one space. Smaller, more personal commissions are welcome too.
What a commission can be
-
Places and landscapes
A mountain, a coastline, a house or a view that matters to you.
-
Botanical subjects
Branches, leaves and flowers, alone or as a series.
-
Birds and animals
A companion animal, or a creature you love.
-
Still life
Fruit, objects and the things that gather on a table.
Examples from Natalia's own work.
For homes and collections
Start with a subject, a room or simply a feeling. A commission can be one painting or a small group, and size, palette and the place where it will hang are all part of the conversation.
For designers and interior projects
For residential, hospitality and office projects, a commission can be a single large piece or a coordinated series. Share plans, photographs of the space, finishes or a palette, along with quantities and timing, and Natalia will shape her proposal around them.

How a commission works
-
Share an idea or a space
Write a few lines about what you have in mind. Photographs, references and plans can follow by email.
-
Talk it through
You and Natalia talk through the subject, size, number of works, timing and feasibility.
-
Receive a proposal
Natalia prepares a personalized proposal with the terms for your commission.
-
Confirm the commission
Work begins once you and Natalia have agreed on the proposal.
-
Review preliminary studies
If the agreement includes them, Natalia shares studies of composition and palette before the final painting.
-
Receive the painting
Natalia completes the watercolor and arranges its delivery with you.
Sending an inquiry is not a commitment for either side. A commission is confirmed only when both of you agree on the proposal.
Good to know
- Every commission is an original watercolor and Natalia's own interpretation. Photographs and references guide the painting but are not copied exactly, and variations of pigment, water and texture are part of the medium.
- For commissions, Natalia paints on 100% cotton watercolor paper.
- Watercolor is sensitive to light and humidity. Framing it behind glass that filters UV light, with an air gap of at least 1/8 inch (3 mm) between the paper and the glass, helps preserve its colors.
- Timing, delivery and any framing are discussed for each commission and set out in its proposal.
Start a commission inquiry
Tell Natalia about the subject, the space or the idea. It doesn't need to be fully formed.
