Mountain with violet shadow

A ridge rises into a sky of clear blue and turquoise. The snow is the white of the paper itself, shaped by violet shadow and by short, decisive strokes of ochre and sepia that read as rock. At the foot of the sheet a violet wash spreads into a soft, feathered edge.
